Make Art Your Career

Not a Seminar. Not a Workshop.

This is Personal Guidance.
This is Career Training.

In this program, I will show you how to find your visual voice, build a thriving studio practice, create a unified body of work, and successfully market and sell your art.

As a group, we go on 2 outings and I bring in 6 guest artists to interview on topics that they thrive in so artists can get access to even more knowledge and experience.

Artists also have access to exclusive opportunities throughout the year to gain exposure and to sell their work.

Being a professional artist can be a part-time or a full-time endeavor. We learn all the ways artists can support themselves.

At the end of the year, as a joined group of both spring and fall semesters, we host our own show at Ashton Gallery to put into practice what we have learned. It is the largest, most attended, and most successful show that the gallery has hosted for the past 3 years in a row.

Many of our alumni go on to acquire solo shows, get gallery representation, start teaching, spend more time painting than ever, and more—all while feeling prepared and ready.

What My Students Have to Say...

  • Autumn S.

Kristen has profoundly influenced my artistic understanding—particularly in the areas of color theory, light, shadow, and the emotional depth of space. Her ability to distill complex artistic concepts has had a lasting impact on me as an artist.

  • Shirley M.

Abstract Drawing was my first experience at Art On 30th. I was not disappointed in any of the categories listed but the surprise was the energy and time I put into my art at home as a result of the structured environment—a needed psychological kick.

  • Shelly C.

I have grown so much as an artist at Art on 30th. I can't say enough positive things about this art school and gallery.

The teachers are very professional and really care about providing informative instruction to help your art soar!
