Orders & Returns

How do I buy original art?

You can find and buy my work in many places: my website, Ashton Gallery in San Diego CA, Janssen Artspace in Palm Springs CA, Libby Silvia Artstyle in Wellesley MA, Artfinder online and Saatchi Art online.

I create four series each year that are seasonal and with its own color palette.

Can I commission a custom piece of art?

I do offer custom art and am accepting commissions. You visit my CustomArt page to learn more.

Can I request a reproduction of a sold original?

Yes. If you would like to have a print made especially for you, please contact me and I’d be happy to talk more about the options I offer. Most of my originals have been photographed for making giclee prints.

Do I need to have the piece framed?

Most of my wood panels come framed in a natural wood floater frame that is wax sealed. My miniature wood panels could be framed after purchasing if desired. My canvases are custom built and made 2.5” deep. I have been told this is too deep to have framed, but the depth also makes it unnecessary to do so as it supports my modern style. These canvases have the painting wrap onto the sides for a dimensional appeal.

Do you work on raw canvas / wood panels?

For my paintings, I work on 12oz canvas and birch wood panels that are primed with gesso. For my drawings, I work on raw birch wood as it is an integral part of the process for working with colored pencils.

Will my art come ready to hang?

All of my artwork will come signed on front and back, sealed, wired, and ready to hang with the appropriate hardware for its size and weight.

How is my art going to be shipped?

Each order is packed with care and professionalism so that it arrives undamaged, I am accustomed to Saatchi’s shipping guidelines and use them as my standard.

All artwork is wrapped in glassine tissue with cardboard corners, appropriately padded, and sent in a well-fitting and sturdy cardboard box or wooden crate. Both methods will be marked “Fragile - Fine Art” on the outside. Most packages arrive within 4-5 days (within the US) from time of shipping and I always include tracking and insurance.

Do you ship internationally?

Currently, I am only offering domestic shipping within the US on my website but my art that is sold online via Saatchi or Artfinder can accommodate international shipping and they manage the Customs requirements that come with it. Fees are calculated at checkout.

Can I pickup locally in San Diego?

Definitely! In fact, I think this is the most fun and safest way to receive your art. I work at Art on 30th in San Diego and it makes for a great meeting place. Simply contact me to arrange an appointment. You can pay me directly for the art during our meeting. I have Shopify’s checkout on my phone as well as Venmo.

Can you delivery my art to my house?

For any online order being sent to those living in either San Diego, Orange, or Los Angeles counties—yes, yes, and yes! I’d much rather safely pack and deliver your art in-person than to ship it. Simply choose Local Delivery at checkout to signal me to not ship your art and we will work out a day and time to meet. Cost is calculated at checkout. No purchase minimum for San Diego County deliveries. Minimum $1000 purchase for Orange County deliveries and minimum $1500 purchase for Los Angeles County deliveries.

Who actually owns the art?

I retain all rights to all artwork I create, including any sold or custom art. The buyer may not reproduce the artwork in any way without written permission.

If the artwork ends up being reproduced in a magazine or other media I only ask for credit (and my congratulations to you because this means your home is super beautiful!).

Classes & Workshops at Art on 30th

If you are taking one of the classes I teach at Art on 30th, please reach out to them directly if you have any questions or issues. They handle all registrations, student communications, and class policies. I am not able to dictate what to charge or refund, it is their class, their pricing, and their policies. You can contact Art on 30th here.

Artwork Returns

You can request a refund 7 days from the delivery date and it will be processed once the item has been returned to me in good, sellable condition. Buyers are responsible for any and all return shipping fees.

Please take the time to read descriptions carefully and check the colors on different screens if you are concerned about color variations. Screens by nature, will showcase colors differently based on each device’s settings and capabilities. I try my best to represent the colors and tones in my art honestly and clearly.

Upon request, I’d be more than happy to send a video filmed in natural daylight if you need another perspective to help you make a purchasing decision.

I want to be sure that you are happy with your art purchase! Please contact me within 7 days of the delivery date to share your concerns and we will work towards a solution together.
